A distinctive text with a compelling selection of images and topics, and worthy entry within the increasing however still very restricted area of art appreciation/visual culture textbooks. I would have appreciated to see a glossary of phrases on the finish of the text. It would even be useful to have a discussion of art historical past, and if not a chapter or more devoted to art history, at least Art & Media a timeline on the end of the text.
